About The IDEA
The Inclusion Diversity and Equity Academy (The IDEA) was created in January 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was in direct response to the impact the pandemic had on at-risk populations within the community and the work Diversity Squared Consulting was doing in the diversity, equity, and inclusion field. The IDEA is a nonprofit organization focused on providing opportunities to remove barriers in underserved and underrepresented members of the community.
Our mission is to elevate and provide a sense of belonging to families and individuals in underserved populations through free and accessible resources. Workshops, training, and referrals will focus on healthy living, job training and financial literacy.
Our vision is to empower families and individuals to make educated decisions on health, finance, employment, and housing. We will create a stronger, healthier, and more vibrant community by reducing and removing barriers that lead to disparities in at-risk populations.
